Google Adwords URL Policies has Changed
Yes, Google Adwords once again keeps saying that they are making changes to their URL policy. Now, for all your display URLs they must have the same top level domain. This policy change takes effect on the week of 2/24/09. This means you can no long display multiple display URL domains within s single ad group. If your website is www.yoursite.com your display URL must match the destination URL.
The funny thing about the change is that Google announced this change to take effect on 4/1/08 and people was still not following the rules. Google Adwords team sent out warnings to them but did not shut down their campaigns. Now they are at it again. Will the Google Adwords team finally start enforcing this rule now or just blow a lot of hot air? Who knows. But just incase they do this time then here is what you need to know.
These are the following acceptable ads for Google Adwords group:
-www.yoursite.com
-www.example.yoursite.com
-www.yoursite.com/example/example1/
-www.yoursite.com/index.html
The following is no long accept:
-www.yoursite.example.com - This would open to identical content.
-www.yoursite.co.uk - This would lead to a different site to - www.yoursite.com
-www.yoursites.com - this could lead to a redirected page to - www.yoursite.com
You are going to have to make sure that you keep your ad groups separated for each domain. This is suppose to allow you to better track the various domains in your Google Adwords account. And speaking of tracking URLs you can still use them. Here is an example of what is ok:
DisPLay URL: www.yoursite.com
Destination: www.tracking.com/yoursite321
Landing page: www.yoursite.com/product/
This would not be ok:
Display URL: www.yoursite.com
Destination: www.tracking.com/yoursite321
Landing page: www.tracking.com
Google claims that this is suppose to give a higher quality experience for visitors and provide more relevant results but I don't see how. I am not sure why this change was even necessary. I mean who really cares if the display URL is not exactly the same as the destination URL. They already disallowed redirects from their campaigns so you can not send visitors to something that is not related to the ad so what is the point? This doesn't seem to be a big deal at all to me but if you want to continue to use the Google Adwords service you have to play by their rules.
The UrL policy applies to all who use Google Adwords, no exceptions. At least I have not heard of any. For most of you this should not be a problem at all. Only a small percent of people, I think, will have to make a few changes in how they group and display their URLs on their ads. Just make sure your display URL matches your landing pages and you will be just fine.

Google Cash Detective Scam is coming again?
I bet some of you have seen that Google Cash Detective 2 is launch on march 10 2009. We could not believe it since back it 2007 the first release was so bad. Chris Carpenter really has some nerve bringing back the scam product. For some of you who did not see the first review for Google Cash Detective then you can see it here at Google Cash Detective 2. Don't let yourself by fooled by Google Cash Detective 2 like some many other people was back in 2007. Plus check out all the other products to avoid as well.

Duplicate Content Issues Solved by Google with Canonical URL Tag

You probably have it on your website right now. If duplicate content is and issue for you then you need to correct it now. Google penalizes webpages that have the exact same content. Maybe you created a page then you wanted to rename that page for better search engine placement? But there is a problem. See, you already have links going to that url and if you chance it then those links will be lost and so will the traffic that it brings. So what can you do about it to keep the traffic without create duplicate content? Well Google has just release a code that can help.
Now as you know Google has issues with duplicate content. Google wants to show unique content. That means that you need to make sure that each page you create is optimized for different keywords. But sometimes while you are creating a website you may end up have two or more URLs with the same content.
See, "www.example.com/" and "www.example.com/index.html" and "example.com/index.html" can be considered three pages. This can cause link dilution and Google may index the pages lower because of it. You might not always be able to get rid of the page so you are left with duplicate content issues. You want to clean that up right away so you can gain in search engine ranking.
On February 12 2009 Google has announced the Canonical URL Link Tag. This little tag will let Google know that you want a certain page to be considered the official address for the content created. It only works for Google but hopefully the other search engines will soon recognize the tag or at least create their own. It is very easy to set up. All you do is take this code that looks like this.
All you need to do to make the Canonical URL Link Tag work is replace the "yoursitename.com/correct-page.html" with your sites name and page you want to be the official page. Then just copy and paste the link into you page into the head section of your website where the meta data is located. Once done, when Google crawls your site again you will be letting Google know that this is the page you want Google to index and this alone.
Now if you have duplicate content from two different domain names then it will not work. The Canonical code only works with sub domain names from a single top level domain. So if you have multiple pages on your website that lead to the same content this should hopefully solve this problem.
Well now that you have the Canonical URL Link Tag it is time to put it to good use. Start searching for any duplicate content pages you might have and get them taken care of fast. The sooner you do, the better the ranking you will have.

Scam product of the week! Day Trading Robot Review
Our review of Day Trading Robot. This product from daytradingrobot.com is my pick for the online scam of the week. Day trading Robot tells everyone that you will get a new hot pick penny stock every Sunday for you to purchase on Monday morning. The only reason why this stock is hot is because everyone is told what to buy. When everyone buys the stock the stocks value is then inflated artificially. Then you must sell that stock fast before the value drops back down and you lose everything.
The stock picks to not come by any type of data or news or anything like that. It is set to send out a new pennystock pick each Sunday automatically. These penny stocks are no good and you should not wast your time with them. The author set up a nice sales page with a video that looks convencing but it is all a scam.
He goes as far as saying that he has a brink and mortal building in Miami Florida but that is a scam as well. The company Day Trading Robot Inc does not exist. They use a virtual address from usabox.com to pretend that the have a company in the U.S. Just check their address at 8345 NW 66 ST, Miami FL 33166. It is an exact match for the usabox.com address that they use. After checking them out I saw that all you have to do is ad your company name and a box number and they will forward any mail or package to any where in the world they cater to. People use this company to pretend that they have a business in the states when they really live either outside the U.S. or in a different state.
I thought that it was strange as well when I saw the phone number the Day Trading Robot offered. It had a 641 area code. That area code is based in central Iowa. Now why would a person who claims to have a company in Florida give you an area code phone number from Iowa. Because he is scamming you.
There is no robot that can tell you when a stock is going to perform well. A real stock goes up when the company does better. If the robot really worked then we would have a stock market that would be producting in the 20,000 range. Nobody would need a stock broker or anything like that. Don't let this system con you. Penny stocks are bad and you need to not use them. The only thing that Day Trading Robot is trading is your money from your hands to their hands.
To anybody out there who was thinking about using Day Trading Robot or any pennystock trading robot then I would suggest not. There are better ways of making money and this is not it.

Work At Home Tips For Everyday Life

We all know that there can be some challenges when you are working at home. If you have clients then you must work with your family to be able to joggle your time properly. But along the way, there will be a few issues that you must work out before you start your work at home business.
One of the first things you need to do is separate your work from your personal life. Create a separate room that is dedicated to your work. You want to look professional to any clients that might come over. Next, have a separate entrance to your work room. That way if you home is no that tidy your customers will not notice. Third, set up a work at home schedule. Even though you can start and stop working anytime you want you will find that you will be more productive if you have some type of schedule to follow. Plus, you can plan time for work and family fun.
Then there is the issue of distractions. Working at home with your family around can be filled with all types of interruptions. To deal with those problems you must first focus your goals and priorities. You will be less prone to distractions. If a certain person in your family is distracting you then you need to be kind but firm. The wrong thing to do is to get mad. They might not understand that they are bothering you. You need to take action but try not to ignore the the distraction. You will never solve the problem that way. Set up a work at home zone and let everyone know that for the next few hours you want to be alone.
With all the extra work you are doing around the house you may not have time to keep up on your everyday choirs around the house. It is OK to get a little help around the home in order to stay on top of things. Work with your family so everyone can pitch in and pick up the slack. Remember, when you are working at home everyone has to make certain adjustments not just you.
