I bet you have seen all kinds of Work from home jobs across the internet.
You will see both scams and gimmicks. Now I sure you know that "scams" and gimmicks" are two different things legally but when you are searching for the right business you want to know what you are getting. So let us see what the differences are.

If you really want to find out then you first must define what a work from home scam and what is a work from home gimmick is.

Work form home Scams

An online job that promises that you will make big money from home by doing simply tasks. Then make up excuses about why you can not get paid after the work is done. Finally there is no way to get your money back.

Work from home Gimmicks

The problem with gimmicks is they can be a real job but you will not get what you expected. This gimmick involves something like them telling you to pay for a simple way to make money. But when you pay, you find out that they tell you to take the same ad with your new url and then advertise it to someone else for profit.


To make money in a work from home job, you need to avoid both the scams and the gimmicks. You will just end up chasing every fad idea that you come across.

Now, if you are serious about having a work from home job then you need something that haves some longevity to it. A real work from home job should pay you not you pay them.

Lets go over some rules about how a real work from home job should be.

1. The job should have something to sell other than itself. You do not want a product that tells you to turn around and sell the same work from home product to someone else. This is an example of a gimmick.

2. Do not bother with multi level marketing jobs. People who make money on these gimmicks are the people who create them. These jobs are all about creating a pyramid scheme where you get someone to join in under you then you get a percentage of who they bring in.

3. Make sure your work from home job has been around for a while. Do your research first to find out who has worked for them and how it went.

4. Find a work from home job that you understand. They make it sound simple at first but once you sign up, you end up lost and confused.

5. Check the customer support before you opt in. If they respond quickly and with good information you may have picked a winner.

6. Plan on going some real work. If they tell you your work at home job will be to just push a few buttons and get paid big bucks then you know it's a scam.

Now that you have a few guidelines, use them when you start to search for your work from home job. Whether scams or gimmicks, try to eliminate both from your search.

Have you heard the news? Google will be changing the way the search engines work in 2009. What does this mean for SEO optimization. Google is leaning to more personalization of their search results. That means your page rank will not mean a thing any more or so they say. So if you want to know the SEO tips that you may need to save your niche website then read on.

Your SEO training is all about finding out how Google will post results for keyword searches. Sometime in 2009, when someone types in a keyword phrase your results will be based on your previous search history. Google will have tools that read your cookies and your that are stored and customize it results based on that and your IP address. That means if your website was first on one persons search results you could not show up at all on the other persons search results. Your SEO optimization will become a little more challenging.

Ranking high could be dead and search engines will care more about traffic results and bounced rates. High a large amount of links or even high quality links to your website may not help as much any more. But I wouldn't stop getting those links if I were you. You are going to need all the unique website traffic you can get to keep your site high on search results.

One good benefit that will come from all of this is bringing down all those spam websites that offer no content. All they do is fill their pages with a bunch of links and banners leading to another website. Those websites will get slapped heavily. This should lead to finding more quality websites and less spam sites.

One day while surfing the web, I came across a sales page that promised to build your own free niche websites. I was new to the internet at the time and I was already looking to create a website so I took the free deal. But the deal did not turn out the be what I expected.

They start out by telling you that all the work will be for free because the other companies will pay them a commission to get people to sign up for there free account. Once they build the niche websites for you all you have to do is sign up for there hosting company and then they will install the website for you. All you have to do is advertise your new free niche website and you will make money. But will you?

See, you need to make sure that if you are going to sign up for a hosting company make sure it's a good one. You can always find good hosting companies for a better price just by looking. You could be paying way more for hosting than you need to.

Also find out what niche website that they are going to build. Don't just except what ever they give you. Some will not even use articles to create the niche website. They will just pick a topic then use a software that finds bits of sentences to fill the space. They will offer no value to any visitor and you will not make any money.

If they use articles, those articles will be given out to so many people that it will not get indexed by google because of duplicate content penalty. If the search engine will not index it then you will never be found on the search. A niche website needs unique content that is optimized for keywords in order to get listed.

You will be forced to spend money advertising your niche website hoping to at least make enough money to cover your monthly hosting costs and advertising expenses. If you are new and don't know what you are doing you will be broke fast.

So I recommend that you first learn all you can about building niche websites and then create your own. It doen't take that long and you will have total control of the content and layout. Once you are done then learn all the ways you can advertise your niche website. Do not start any advertising campaign until you research for tips on how to properly use their service. This will cut down on most of you costly mistakes that you will have along the way.
